Study Links Pradaxa to Risk of Heart Attack

A recent study published by CBS News states that Pradaxa increases users’ risk of heart attack or heart disease by at least 33 percent. This is not the only warning issued for Pradaxa. The FDA is also investigating an unusually large number of reports of serious bleeding linked to the drug.

Heartburn Drugs May Cause Kidney Damage

Recent studies show common heartburn drugs, such as Nexium, Prilosec, and Prevacid, may be linked to long-term kidney damage. According to CBS News, heartburn drugs, also known as proton pump inhibitors, can increase the risk of developing chronic kidney disease by 50 percent.
