Xarelto is a blood thinning medication used to treat atrial fibrillation in people who are also at risk for stroke. However, multiple lawsuits have been filed against the manufacturer of Xarelto claiming the company withheld important safety information.

Lawyers representing the plaintiffs claim drug companies did not offer up additional safety information even though it was available.

 

Xarelto was first approved in 2011 by the FDA. Since hitting the market, Xarelto has been linked to multiple health concerns including bleeding, hematomas, hemorrhages, and even death.
